Theory
The Tap'Counter can be used for every opponent at the table. It's always done on pre-flop time. It has the ability to count and store the amount of played hands [++] / raised hands [↑↑] (at least 3 times the Big Blind) in respect to the overall received hand count. Every opponent at the table owns his dedicated counting square. These squares are located below the table overview. There you can find any opponent's individual game occurrences.|
|
In the middle of such a square it's displaying the number of currently played hands, followed by a dash (/) and the raised hand amount. Below, the overall amount of received starting hands can be found. |
The table overview has an arrow pointing to the currently selected opponent (check the following images). His tracked data is interpreted right below the table. The 'Raises' field shows what range of starting hands the player (opponent) is betting at least 3 times the Big Blind with. Thereafter follows the player's given name. Afterwards is the 'Folds' field displayed, what is his fold equity (chance that he gives up his particular hand) after facing another player's raising bet. The overall fold equity (concerning all remaining players) is on the top-left side and uses the label 'cFE'. The overall Pre-Flop fold equity is given after nobody has been raising before the user's own game decision. Otherwise after enabling the spectator mode (user excluded from the game), it's always given after the first observed player has made his raise. On the Facebook Page under http://on.fb.me/113CYIq is a nice example of using that mode. There I've been tracking the fully WSOP 2011-Final Table...
Latest 10 hands analysis
After overall 20 received hands the Tap'Counter shows attached to the Tap'Counter squares a number with the current changes in an opponent's playing behavior (playing frequency). It's the differentiation between the played hand frequency considering all the samples and the amount of lately played hands regarding only the latest 10 games. This rate of change is rounded to the nearest whole number. The label +1 means that the opponent has currently played about 1 hand more than usual. The label -1 implies the opposite. That ±1 labels are very frequent, because of the drawing luck with the starting hands. But after the opponent has constantly more than 1 in the changed quantity it sounds like the opponent has decided to play more/less often. The configuration can be used to redefine an opponents Tap'Counter square to just consider the latest 10 hand samples. After an opponent is on tilt he decides to play almost every dealt hand with over aggression. This is detectable by his attached number that reaches about +3 or even higher. Otherwise, when an opponent is waiting for a really big commencing hand his number would be shifted with a leading minus sign.
9-player Sit-and-Go Example

Such an opponent playing history diagram of your Tap'Counter usage isn't part of iRuleThem. It has been created to give you a more practical example about a player, who begins dominating the table with over-aggression. The diagram shows you the latest 30 dealt hands to the bully 'AggroSteve'. He is located on seat 7, right before my own table location. He has been playing straight, until to the hand with the number 55 (Hand #). His stack was at the beginning relatively healthy sized before he started tilting. After that particular hand he has been continuously in action, until to the hand with number 61. During those 7 hands he has been raising the bet on 3 Pre-Flop occasions; 2 times he even declared an all-in. The Tap'Counter pictures below are the extract of the latest 5 hands, starting with hand number 60 until to number 64. On the hands number 62 and 63 the other players ('Nikkita', 'Adam') have been striking back by shoving ahead of 'AggroSteve'...
![]() 60th hand: 'AggroSteve' raises from Dealer-Button Position/UTG+1... Own dealt hand is 6h, 2h. (Fold SB) |
![]() 61st hand: once more 'AggroSteve' raises/all-in from UTG... Own dealt hand is Qs, 7s. (Fold Dealer-Button) |
![]() 62th hand: 'Nikkita' has enough and open-shoves from Dealer-Button Position/UTG+1... Own dealt hand is Jc, 9d (Fold) |
![]() 63th hand: 'Adam' also fights back and raises/all-in from Dealer-Button Position/UTG+1... Own dealt hand is Ts, 2d (Fold BB) |
![]() The 64th hand stands for the last attempt by 'AggroSteve' to steal from the Dealer-Button Position... |
Versus: ![]() The reset of the Tap'Counter of 'AggroSteve' leads to a consideration of the latest 10 hands: During these games he has been raising 3 times out of 10 occasions. This leads to his starting hand range of K8+. With Ac, Jd I possess enough hand value to call the Pre-Flop/All-In by 'AggroSteve'. At the showdown the he turns over QJ of Hearts... |
